Aboriginal Art

We have been looking at different kinds of art from around the world. We have drawn some Koru art, that's from New Zealand and we have also done some Aboriginal art from Australia. Before we had paint and paper, the Aboriginal people drew dot pictures with sticks and dirt inside their caves to tell stories.

We have told a story about our favourite animal using paint and our fingers to create the dots. You should come and have a look at them on our wall. We can tell you our story if you ask us . . .

  1. We really liked doing Aboriginal Art too in Room 6, you could come in and look at our pictures too. I love your pictures. It looks like lots of fun.
